Saidi Balogun, the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the Brazil Government are going to partner together in a new movie together.
According to the film maker who went along with the traditional ruler to Brazil, he says the movie is to promote Yoruba culture. Saidi Balogun was interviewed recently and said, he was shocked to see how to see that the Brazilians had embraced the Yoruba culture, religion and traditions.
Saidi Balogun says he traveled with the Ooni of Ife to do some cultural things for African people there, mostly the Yoruba's, It look like our father is going to bring them to their roots.
The Brazilian worship Sango and some other gods, they can sing Yoruba songs, they sang some of our cultural songs for us when we got there. We have about 400 deities in Yoruba land and 200 in Ife. He added that he was the first movie producer and actor to travel with the Ooni of Ife.
Saidi added,"The ooni took me there so we could look for ways to beautify our culture; so that both countries can work together. Movie makers there appreciate our culture. I was surprised to see how they love and embrace our culture. We are trying to work together with the government to produce a movie in that regard".
